Ricardo Ernesto Arosemena Callan

Ricardo Ernesto Arosemena Callan is a seasoned Panamanian attorney with more than 15 years of experience advising clients across complex litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters. He is the Founding and Managing Partner of Venturia Legal, where he leads the firm’s strategic direction and oversees high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional matters.

Ricardo’s practice is centered on commercial and civil litigation, arbitration, and administrative and regulatory law. He regularly advises domestic and international clients on dispute resolution strategy, regulatory compliance, and the establishment and operation of business interests in Panama. His broader experience spans to corporate and business transactions, dispute resolution and negotiation, labor and immigration, real state and state planning, admiralty and maritime litigation, corporate and business transactions, data protection, telecommunications, labor and immigration, and entertainment and sports law.

Prior to founding Venturia Legal, Ricardo served as Partner and Head of the Litigation, Arbitration, and Regulatory practice groups at another law firm in Panama and held positions at leading firms as an associate in the Republic of Panama.

He earned his LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from George Washington University Law School, where he was recognized as a Thomas Buergenthal Scholar, and his Law and Political Science degree, Cum Laude, from Universidad Santa María La Antigua.

Ricardo is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama and is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Panamanian Bar Association, APADEMAR, the ICC Panama Chapter, and the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), APEDE and Camara de Comercio. He currently serves as President of the Commerce and Political Investments Commission of ICC Panama and President of the Disciplinary Commission of FEPAFUT. He is also an active investor and board member across multiple business ventures.

He has been consistently recognized by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 in Litigation and Dispute Resolution.
